Account Balances & Net Worth
By ZohaibEvery account shows a balance, but what that number means, and whether a bigger number is good or bad, depends on the account type.
Reading your balance
- Available Balance: what you have, for cash, bank, and receivable accounts.
- Payable Balance: what you owe, for loan and real-estate-linked debt.
- Limit Available: for credit cards specifically, you can toggle between the current balance and how much credit you have left before hitting your limit.
Net worth and the assets vs. debt breakdown
Your Accounts Summary adds up all your asset accounts and subtracts your debt accounts to give you a single net worth figure. A donut chart breaks that down by account type, Cash, Bank, and Real Estate on the assets side, Loans and credit cards on the debt side, and hovering any segment shows the individual accounts behind it.
Tracking the trend
Each summary card also shows a month-over-month percentage change. For assets, an increase is shown as positive progress; for debt, a decrease is the good direction, even though both show as a percentage change. You can view the historical trend over 3 months, 6 months, 1 year, or all time.
Tip: Click into any individual account to see its own 12-month balance trend and the transactions behind it, rather than just the combined net worth view.
