    Managing Your Accounts

    ZohaibBy Zohaib

Once an account exists, you can edit it, reorganize how it's displayed, or retire it without losing its history.

    Editing details

    • Rename an account, change its type, or update its balance.
    • Upload a custom logo for manually created accounts. Bank-synced accounts show the real bank logo automatically, pulled in from the connection.
    • Unlink a Plaid-connected bank if you want to stop syncing it, without deleting the account or its past transactions.

    Quick actions

From an account row or card, you can jump straight to adding an income, expense, or transfer against that specific account, without opening the full transaction form and picking the account from a dropdown yourself.

    Switching between accounts

A searchable account switcher lets you jump straight to a specific account by typing its name, handy once you have more than a handful.

    Marking an account inactive

Marking an account inactive hides it from your default lists without deleting anything. All its past transactions and balances stay exactly as they were, and you can reactivate it anytime, so it's the right move for a closed bank account you still want history for, rather than deleting it outright.

    Table vs. grid view

Switch between a compact table and a card grid from the view toggle. Your choice is remembered for next time you open the page.

Tip: Use the Status and Balance filters (Active vs. Show All, Non-Zero vs. Show All) to declutter the list once you have several accounts, especially after marking a few inactive.
