    Setting a Minimum Cash Floor

    ZohaibBy Zohaib

A minimum cash floor is a line you draw for yourself, the balance you never want to dip below, whether that's a comfort buffer or the minimum needed to avoid overdraft fees.

    What it does

Once set, a threshold line appears directly on your cashflow chart, with the area below it shaded so any dip toward or past it is immediately visible, whether that dip is in your real history or your forecast.

    Setting it

Drag the threshold line up or down right on the chart. The amount updates live as you move it, so you can position it exactly where you want without opening a separate settings screen.

    Why it matters

The real value shows up in the forecast: if your projected balance is on track to cross below your floor next month, you'll see it weeks ahead of time, while there's still room to cut spending, delay a purchase, or move money around, instead of finding out when it's already too late.

Tip: There's no single right number for this, it's personal. Some people set it to zero just to avoid going negative, others set it to a full month of expenses as a safety cushion.
