    Staying on Track

    ZohaibBy Zohaib

Beyond just showing you where you stand, Fyscal also tells you what it would actually take to get to the finish line on time, in plain numbers you can act on.

    The monthly contribution guidance

Every active goal shows a line like "Save $X/month to stay on track." That figure is calculated by taking what's left to reach your target and dividing it evenly across the months remaining until your due date, so it's always a concrete, actionable number rather than a vague sense of "save more."

    How it stays current

This number recalculates automatically every time your linked account's balance changes or you update the due date. There's nothing to refresh or recompute yourself, it's always reflecting your current, real situation.

    When you're overdue

Once the due date has passed without the goal being achieved, the monthly guidance is replaced by the overdue notice instead. At that point, a monthly savings number stops being the useful fix, updating the due date to something realistic is.

    Making it a habit

You don't need to check this daily. A quick monthly glance at your suggested contribution figures, alongside a look at any goals marked Behind, is usually enough to keep your goals realistic and moving without turning it into a chore.

Tip: If the suggested monthly number ever looks unrealistic for your budget, that's useful information too. It usually means either the target amount or the due date needs adjusting, not that you're doing something wrong.
